Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum

(Morgan’s Grove, #2)

The story of a few of the people in Morgan’s Grove, Texas, continues in book 2, Meet You Under the Stars by Traci Borum. In Meet You Under the Stars, the town’s assistant librarian, Chaynie, and her mom are getting through each day while still grieving the death of Chaynie’s dad. They are both going to work and have resumed their lives, but he is always on their minds. Chaynie feels like she needs a change – and hasn’t mentioned it to her mom yet, but she has put out inquiries about head librarian positions, which would take her away from Morgan’s Grove, but she feels like she has more to give and knows that there won’t be the opportunity to reach her full potential in her job now, even though she loves every inch of the library and the town.

Valentine’s Day is approaching, Chaynie is seeing reminders of it everywhere, and it’s not that much fun when you’re single. When she’s assigned the job of creating a Valentine’s event for the library, even though it’s the last thing she wants to do, she rallies and says she will figure out an event.

The library is old, in fact, one of the oldest buildings in town! Repairs and renovations are needed, and Chaynie is surprised when she recognizes Greg, someone she knew but wasn’t friends with in school, is in charge of the project. And, wow, has he changed! They become friends – and when there’s a leaky pipe at her house, Greg comes to fix it.

Chaynie and her mom have been working on a project, and when Greg sees it, he is excited about it for them, and Chaynie takes a big risk with his encouragement.

Working together, can they pull off the library renovation, the Valentine’s Day event, and more?

I was given this book to read and review, and I loved it!
