“Meeting Grandmom” by Jessica Adams

Meeting Grandmom” by Jessica Adams is a book I really enjoyed reading. It is a book that left me feeling warm and happy remember my Grandma!-Green Gables Book Reviews

My thoughts-I really liked the book Meeting Grandmom a lot! Jessica Adams has a reputation for writing great books for kids that have a learning lesson of some type, like teaching kids to tidy up their bedrooms (as an example.) She also has a great website with some free motivational printables for kids. Her blog is very informative with tips for parents and more. Take a look!

The book-Meeting Grandmom is a great book that was written as a tribute to Jessica Adams own mother. It is a book where two girls, Janiece and Janelle, are having fun playing and end up traveling back in time to 1989! They realized quickly where they were and were so excited! The people they met were people they loved and had wondered about. This is a great book to read with your kids and to start conversations about family and how things were when you were their age. It is also a book that might be really helpful for starting conversations about grief and loss.

More about the Author: Jessica D. Adams writes children’s books about The Underground Toy Society that aim to teach children to love and appreciate what they have, think of others, and hopefully clean their rooms. Jessica’s two daughters are the inspiration for the books, as well as co-illustrators for many of the books. Jessica also wrote a short time travel chapter book, Meeting Grandmom, which is a great story for kids as well as adults to remember or talk about lost loved ones and family history. Jessica has visions of The Underground Toy Society traveling around the world, with many books being created to help teach children to clean their rooms, appreciate what they have, and think of those who may not have as much. While the goals of the books are to help kids want to clean their rooms, appreciate what they have, and think of others, there are no guarantees that kids will learn these lessons. These books are for entertainment purposes and individual results may vary. Visit YouTube to find exciting kid-friendly videos about The Underground Toy Society!
