Sharp Absence is so good! Best friends and roommates, MacKenzie and Clara are each others family. They share everything; watch out for each other and know everything about each other.

So when Kenzie goes to a meeting at her college and gets a voicemail from Clara that she can't meet for lunch as planned, Kenzie thinks it's a little odd-they never leave each other voicemails. When Kenzie heads to their apartment, she is shocked! Everything that belongs to Clara is gone. Everything-her clothes, her bedding, personal items. All that is left behind is the necklace that Clara never takes off.

Worried and confused, Kenzie contacts everyone she can think of. No one knows anything. Campus security is no help, the police try, but are at a dead end. Kenzie's ex-boyfriends Dad is a police officer, who puts Kenzie in touch with a PI.

Will the PI believe her? Will he take on her case, even though she doesnt have enough money to pay him? Will new evidence the police find lead to Clara and is someone after Kenzie?
