The Friendship Pact by Jill Shalvis
"A perfect book for a long weekend!"-Books and Pens on Green Gables
Jill Shalvis is known for her books! They are usually feel-good books that sweep you away into this new world for a while. The Friendship Pact also fits that description. Written in a great style, you'll want to keep reading long after the sun has set!
Tae and her mom, April, raised each other. April was young and alone when Tae was born and has worked hard to make a life for them. Tae has worked hard, too, and they are proud of where they are now in life... until they are at a fundraiser and an old date of Tae's turns out to be an even worse person than she thought! Tae leaves and waits for her Uber in the rain. When a car pulls up, she hops in. It's not an Uber, but Riggs Copeland, an old fling. Can the night get any worse for Tae?
Apparently, yes, it can! Soon Riggs is rescuing her in a convenience store and protecting her from more harm. They are both surprised to see each other many times and discover that they have overlapping interests.
When Riggs finds out some information that affects Tae, he's torn about what to do. If he gets involved, will she ever trust him?
