The Moment Between – by Gareth Frank

“The Moment Between” by Gareth Frank. This is his first published novel.

There are some really deep topics in this book. I found my mind wondered a little bit, as there are some really deep conversations that occur. I like the book and I liked the storyline, I like most of the characters a lot, except for the one that’s meant to not like! It is well written and very thought provoking!

None of us know what happens “in the moment between”, but Dr. Hackett Metzger, a Neurologist, does not believe he will ever be reunited with his beloved wife Jean. He misses her, he still talks to her and grieves for her, but he does not believe in the thought of dwelling in Heaven with God. He is a Scientist and things need to be proven to him. Scientifically proven things have made him a brilliant Neurologist.

Sarah is not happy in her marriage. She sees her husband as lazy and worthless. He should be working harder to get a new job. And, her son? She hopes he doesn’t grow up to be like his Dad, dealing with his medical issues is enough of a concern. Meeting Dr. Hackett could turn things around for her son..and she hopes for her, too.

Ella Mae was Jean’s best friend. She wishes she could do more to comfort Hackett. She feels badly they are at odds over the new study at the hospital. But she knows she is right.

No one expects that what they think they know, isn’t necessarily the way things really are.
