An avid reader and always ready to talk about books, one of Janell’s friends, a publicist, said to her, “What do you do after you read the books?”
A light bulb turned on that day several years ago, and with help from her friends that afternoon, the original Green Gables Book Reviews was created! Word spread quickly among authors, and Green Gables Book Reviews became a well-known, respected, free book review service. At one time, authors were scheduling ten months in advance for a review to be done by Green Gables Book Reviews!
After an injury, Janell left her full-time job. As she recovered, Janell realized she wanted to offer reading and writing services to authors, businesses, and individuals. That led to expanding Green Gables Book Reviews into Books and Pens on Green Gables, LLC, where she has created a freelance company that works with various authors, publishing companies, book promotion companies, a publicist, and several businesses.
The company creates custom graphics, assists people with writing projects, does editorial reviews, and offers beta reading and proofreading services for authors. BPonGreen.com offerings also include helping authors with book promotions through book tours and social media management. The company has expanded once already and is looking to expand again soon!
Janell, the owner of Books and Pens on Green Gables, LLC, lives in beautiful Minnesota with her husband, Steve. They have two adult children, and when they're all together, three dogs named Ringo, Chief, and Winston. Her favorite things are coffee with friends, new notebooks, and fancy pens.
