The Lockhart Women by Mary Camarillo

"The Lockhart Women is a deep look into the life of the Lockhart's. The family that was together and fell apart, went their own directions, and as three women, came back stronger."-Books and Pens on Green Gables

The award-winning book, The Lockhart Women by Mary Camarillo.

A perfect read anytime!

Brenda Lockhart is married with two daughters. The book begins with all four of them in the car, going to see her husbands co-workers new condo. Why are they doing this? Brenda has no idea.

Already in heavy traffic, soon all they see are brake lights and traffic comes to a standstill. Soon there are helicopters overhead and the sound of police sirens. Everyone says OJ Simpson's Bronco is driving toward the traffic jam. It's true, and Brenda is thrilled to make eye contact with him as his white vehicle drives past them.

They finally arrive at Linda's condo-how odd that her husband didn't need directions...

The usual crowd from the Post Office is there-her husband's co-workers. Whoever would have thought a party with OJ Simpson's police chase in the background would end with Brenda and the girls going home alone?

Brenda's life spirals downward as her daughter Allison's life continues on its already bad path with her popular athlete boyfriend Kevin. And, college-bound daughter Peggy can't believe how her plans are changing because of her parent's divorce. And why is the OJ trial always on TV at their house?

Can Brenda's girls help pull her out of her depression? Will Allison stay with Kevin? What happens with Peggy?

The Lockhart Women is a deep look into the life of the Lockhart's. The family that was together and fell apart went their own direction, and as three women, came back stronger.

"Reading The Lockhart Women is like talking with your friend, Brenda. As her friend, sometimes you want to scold her, and other times you just don't know what to say. And, when she finds herself, you get to cheer with her! A must-read book!"-Books and Pens on Green Gables
