Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score

"Great book! Fun dynamics in the different relationships. Twin to twin, brother to brother, mom and daughter, aunt and niece. And, man to woman. Lots of excitement and action. Pretty spicy. Fun book!"

-Books and Pens on Green Gables

When things go from bad to worse, what’s a girl to do? Naomi decides that her day needs to start with a good, strong cup of coffee to fix her problems. Unfortunately, the first thing she sees when she goes into the coffee shop is a picture that looks like her. A bad picture. UGH. That’s the last thing she wants to deal with this morning.

As Naomi is waiting for her much-needed latte, things go from bad to worse, when someone starts yelling at her. She can hardly get a word in – and thankfully the best coffee maker in the world, Justice, saves her when he calls her by name: “Naomi.” The man stops yelling and is stunned that she’s not Tina. Naomi is the good twin.

As Naomi is trying to get away from the rude man, she discovers her car is missing! How many bad things can happen to a girl in twenty-four hours!?

Knox, the rude but very, very handsome man is driving her to the police station to try to find out about her car. Next stop, dropping her off at her motel room. But, there’s someone unexpected there. Naomi meets her niece, whom she didn’t know she had, Waylay. Tina has stolen everything of value from Naomi’s motel room and left her preteen daughter for Naomi to take care of. Another mess of Tina’s for Naomi to clean up.

Soon, Naomi and Waylay are living in a small cabin, and Naomi gets a job. She and Knox’s lives keep intersecting. Sometimes accidentally and sometimes...Blushing happens, sparks fly, and Naomi soon learns that Knox has walls up that seem impossible to break down. But yet, when she or Waylay need him, he’s there to help.

But, can he save them from everything?
