Look at the beautiful cover of Tillman’s Bounty! Isn’t it eye-catching? I love the vibrant orange that highlights the silhouettes!

Western lovers will enjoy reading about Max Tillman, a miner turned bounty hunter. Max learns the hard way that other bounty hunters do not want competition and the need to stay out of each other’s way. But the money is good and Max needs a job. He didn’t plan to be a bounty hunter and it happened by chance, but once Max realized he could do it, he kept on with it, looking for the next wanted man he heard about in the towns he passed through.

Hardy, his horse, becomes Max’s best friend and only family. Hardy had belonged to Ricky from the mine where they had both worked. Max found Ricky shot on his horse right after the mine closed and Ricky later died. In all of the situations Max ends up in, he always looks out for Hardy by making sure is well taken care of, fed, and safe.

Throughout the book, Max wonders about this life, he knows he’s missing something but doesn’t know what it is or how to find it. So, he keeps with his main goal of keeping himself and Hardy safe. Will Max ever find the life he hopes for?
